  • Please stop by the District Office to pick up your FBUSD T-shirt if you haven't already done so. I hope these new shirts will become a part of your Friday spirit wear wardrobe. :)
  • COVID-19 Updates:
    • We have clarification on what vaccinated means. The definition for vaccinated employees is anyone who is two weeks past the second vaccine dose. (Boosters are no longer required per Mendocino County Public Health.)
    • Testing is available at the District Office from 7:30-8:30 AM and 3:15-4:15 PM each day. At home test kits are available. If you need to test weekly, you may test at home. You will need to write the date and your name on the test and send a picture of the test to records@fbusd.us. 
    • Unvaccinated employees will need to continue to test weekly as we start this school year.
    • As of now, student athletes will not have to test to participate in sports. 
    • We have updated the COVID Protocols for the year. The protocols can be accessed by clicking this link
    • An employee training presentation should be viewed by each employee prior to the start of school. The presentation can be accessed by clicking this link.
    • The COVID Safety Plan is available for review. This plan can be accessed by clicking this link. 
  • HR Notes from Suzie
    • Please submit DCEC credits by October 15 for consideration for this school year. 
    • Stipends for Peer Mentors, Department Heads, and Leadership are being processed and will be on the September paycheck. 
    • Please complete you Keenan Training if you haven't already done so. The required training modules are:
    • Please stop by the DO if you would like to sign up for direct deposit. 
    • The Escape Employee Resource portal has many options for updates to your employee information including:
      • View or Change Emergency

      • Change your tax withholdings

      • View Assignments

      • View Education Credits 

      • View TB expiration information

      • View or print payroll information

      • View leave information and balances

    • Be sure your teaching credential is current and not ready to expire. Click here to go to the CCTC website to search for your credential. You will also receive a reminder notice 2 months before the expiration date from the Mendocino County Office of Education (MCOE).

  • Ellevation has two sets of terrific resources which can be found under the 'Strategies' tab, https://login.ellevationeducation.com/:
    • Ellevation Collections contains a vast variety of activities that are organized into a meaningful framework of Practices and Strategies that resemble a common lesson cycle and guide teachers on how to teach a classroom of linguistically diverse students. Very thorough and user-friendly!
    • Ellevation Modules is a set of professional learning videos on different topics re. English Learners. They qualify for DCEC credits should you need them.
  • 988 Crisis and Suicide Lifeline has gone active nationwide. Anyone can call or text 988 to be connected with a mental health counselor trained to support crisis intervention for substance abuse, suicide, or other mental health needs. You can find out more about the Lifeline at this link
