I was out for a walk by Redwood this week. A student was running on the track and yells out "I LOVE SCHOOL" with the biggest smile on her face. This is why we do this work.

• Good News:
• We are in the second round for consideration for funding some electric school buses. We should hear about the outcomes of the second round in the coming months. 
• The TLC Class helped out with the Coastal Cleanup Day
  
  
  
• Please stop by the District Office to pick up your FBUSD T-shirt if you haven't already done so. I hope these new shirts will become a part of your Friday spirit wear wardrobe. :)
• Testing is available at the District Office from 7:30-8:30 AM and 3:15-4:15 PM each day. At home test kits are available.

• Please submit DCEC credits by October 15 for consideration for this school year. 
• Stipends for Peer Mentors, Department Heads, and Leadership are being processed and will be on the September paycheck.

• 988 Crisis and Suicide Lifeline has gone active nationwide. Anyone can call or text 988 to be connected with a mental health counselor trained to support crisis intervention for substance abuse, suicide, or other mental health needs. You can find out more about the Lifeline at this link.
